By this proceeding, it is possible to measure the electric potential on the reinforced concrete surface, detecting the areas where the potential gradient indicates corrosive phenomena in progress. To use the system is extremely simple; once completed the punctiform electrode preparation, the first step consist in proceed in the measurements on the surface to be analysed, the electric potential measurements shall be made at the mesh nodes. The interpretation of the measurements allow processing the data, generating a map of potential, a relative and cumulative frequency diagram, as well as a real map of the potential distribution. It should be noted that the present technique, even if indicate quantitative results, is a pure qualitative research method, since the reading does not provide potential values uniquely interpretable.
